About Simply Pencils

Pencils With Personality

Simply Pencils started with a pretty simple idea: everyday things don't have to be boring.

We're a small, family-run business in New London, Wisconsin, creating laser-engraved pencils and gifts designed to be useful, personal, and—whenever possible—make somebody smile.

Whether we're engraving a teacher's name, a set of ridiculous sewing sayings, pencils for an entire classroom, or something completely custom, every order is made right here in our shop by real people.

Our Story

Simply Pencils is part of Creations 101, Inc., a small business that's been creating personalized and craft products for years.

Pencils weren't originally supposed to become such a big part of what we do. But somewhere along the way, customers kept giving us new reasons to make them.

Teachers wanted pencils that would actually find their way back to their desks. Parents wanted personalized pencils for their kids. Crafters wanted sayings that made them laugh. Businesses, schools, clubs, and organizations started asking us to create pencils specifically for them.

Eventually, it became pretty obvious that the pencils deserved a home of their own.

So here we are.

Made in Wisconsin

Your pencils aren't being sent to some anonymous factory after you place your order.

They're made in our shop in New London, Wisconsin.

We engrave them, inspect them, package them, and ship them ourselves. That gives us control over the little things—from how the engraving looks to how your order is presented when you open the box.

And yes, there are actual humans here. If you contact us with a question or an unusual request, you're talking to the same people who make the products.

How We Make Your Pencils

Our pencils are precision laser engraved rather than printed with ordinary surface ink or foil stamped. Each order is prepared for engraving, produced in our Wisconsin shop, inspected, and packaged before heading your way.

For personalized pencils, we offer dozens of pencil colors and mixes, multiple quantities and packaging options, and even engraving orientation for right- or left-handed writers.

We also make themed pencil gift sets for teachers, professions, hobbies, coworkers, readers, gamers, crafters, and just about anyone else we can find an excuse to make pencils for.

Have an idea we haven't thought of yet? Those are often our favorite messages to receive.

Veteran-Owned. Family-Run.

We're proud to be a veteran-owned, family-run small business.

Simply Pencils isn't a giant company pretending to be a small shop. The people behind the website are the same people designing products, answering questions, engraving orders, packing boxes, and occasionally wondering where we put the pencil we were holding thirty seconds ago.

Why Simply Pencils?

Because pencils can be more than something sitting in a desk drawer.

They can have someone's name on them. They can make a teacher laugh during a long school day. They can become part of a gift, commemorate an event, promote a business, celebrate a hobby, or finally settle the question of exactly whose pencil that is.

We take the work seriously.

The pencils don't always have to be.
